MACHINE SHOP SERVICES
M&A Engineering designs and manufactures new components, repairs existing worn / damaged parts and can reverse engineering obsolete parts from supplied patterns. We can manufacture one-off part's, batch or large production runs using our CNC capabilities, provide fitting services with a handling/lifting capacity of up to 12 tons. We also supply calibration services of torque tooling and pressure gauges to a UKAS standard.

MACHINE SHOP CAPABILITIES
We can manufacture new metal components and repair damaged components that maybe obsolete to procure, one-offs or batch runs, with a machine weight capacity of up to 8 tons. Our workshop services and capabilities are listed below:-
- CNC Manufacture
Computer-controlled machining for repeatable precision during batch production or one-off parts.
- Turning
Precision turning for bespoke components, re-manufacture or refurbishment on any parts up to 800mm diameter and 3-metres in length.
- Milling
Vertical and horizontal milling for flats, slots, profiles and complex 5 axis machining up to 8 tons capacity with a 2-metres square milling area.
- Drilling
Accurate drilling and tapping for components and assemblies, with excellent positional control for both large and small drilling setups.
- Line Boring
In-line boring machining to ensure precision fits between multiple bores in new components or restoring worn bores, housings and large assemblies.
- Slotting
Internal or external keyways and slot profiles produced using specialist slotting machines / broaching equipment.
- Sawing/cutting
Bandsaw cutting for metal preparation and sectioning prior to machining and fabrication, up to 800m diameter. Plasma Cutting available for cutting plate up to 50mm thick.
- Fitting
Dedicated fitting and assembly area for removal of components, repairs, reassemblies or removing seized components.
- Calibration
Using UKAS Certified Masters Controlled environment for calibration of torque tools, tensioning equipment and gauges to industry standards.
- Surface Grinding
High-accuracy surface grinding to achieve tight tolerances and high-quality finishes, up to 800mm by 400mm in size.
- 75 Ton Press Capabilities
Press work for the fitting of interference sleeves and shafts or for removal operations of stuck components using our 75-ton press capacity.
- Reverse Engineering
Re-manufacture of parts from samples or drawings, producing accurate replacements when originals are unavailable.
- 3-D assembly software
Designing new components, redesigning old components for new applications or to simple check fits in complex situations - our 3-D CAD-CAM software helps reduce downtime and speeds up production.
